How to Stay Confident When Writing

fictionwritingtips:

Being a confident writer is a very difficult thing to do. We are usually our own worst critics, so it can be hard to feel like we’re writing something worthwhile. While there is always something we can learn and apply to our writing, you need to know that you are a good…

Things I’m working on for “The Beginning Writer” blog…

1) Writing an “about me” page
2) New cover photo and icon for Facebook Page
3) New photos of myself
4) Learn how to design better graphics for posts
5) Organizing better “Categories” and “Tags”
6) At least 5-6 new blog posts in draft

Once I get all that, I will start posting regularly again.

Hi Kelly! Just started following you here and on twitter! I'm holding a writing competition on my blog for ages 15-20. I have a PhD in literature and I teach at a university. There is no entry fee to the competition. Are you interested? There are $200 and $100 book vouchers and it's international. Top ten submissions get feedback too. I'm just trying to reach as many teen writers as I can. It would be great if you could share this! Thank you! There's a post on my blog with the details. myspoonfulofglitter

I’m not a teen but I’m sure some of my followers might be interested!

What do you guys think?

Just putting this out there one more time…

I’m working on prettying up my blog for when I start posting again so I added a pic of my signature* under a blog post.

I’m wondering what you guys think….I can’t get rid of the light box surrounding it. Does it look weird? Nice? Should I keep it or no?

Check it out!

* I can see how it might be dangerous to show my whole signature but this is only my first name. And honestly, it’s just my name using a font that looks a lot like my own handwriting. I thought maybe “signing” my blog posts with a font that looks more like real handwriting other than the blog’s regular font would make it feel a little more personal. If you look at the post before the one I linked to, you can see how I usually “sign” the post by simply typing my name.

I hate to be this guy… but I think having you signature online is a bad idea

This novel is already written. It’s there, it’s in my dreams. I dream all the time of this novel.
