I can’t believe another week has gone by already! And with the bombings in Boston, the explosion in Texas, and now one of the Boston bombers being killed, it’s been a very dramatic week. I’ve been keeping one eye on the news and one eye on my homework for days now.
But now it’s Friday, and in case you don’t know, every day I scour the internet looking for articles that are helpful to me as a beginning writer. When I find something, I will share it over Twitter. Each Friday, I will post what I call a link round-up of all the helpful articles I found that week.

You’ve been waiting patiently for the next Outlander novel since 2009′s An Echo in the Bone — and you’ve still got several months to go before the eighth installment, Written in My Own Heart’s Blood, hits shelves. Thankfully, EW has some goodies for you: This cover, and some juicy scoop from Diana Gabaldon herself.
OUTLANDER: A series by Diana Gabaldon detailing the life and times of Claire Randall, an English battlefield nurse from 1945, and her husband Jamie Fraser, a Highlander from 1743, as well as that of their extended family in both the eighteenth century and the twentieth. It’s part romance, part time travel, part historical, part thriller, part shrine to Scotsmen and kilts, part whatever adjective you can think of. And it’s awesome. No seriously. Awesome.
